Here is a report of the interview to  Mr. Christopher  Woods from United Kingdom the Guest House manager and house owner of the Happy Woods series share houses in Tokyo, the following is about his life in Tokyo as a self owned Share House Manager. 

Inside the house  you feel a typical Japanese atmosphere: tatami floors, Japanese sliding doors and the Wooden elements in the house makes it feel really comfortable and cozy. 

Christopher, the house owner who is fluent in English as well as in Japanese knows how it is for foreigners to come and live in Japan. Having a problem? just ask him! 

He first came to Japan as a model at the age of 14. He has been living and traveling between Japan and Europe until the age of 25, after finishing the university it wasn't hard for him to decide the next step.
The property rental idea got started when his wife's sister moved in to their house at Kawaguchi in Saitama with a simple reason, save money. It didn't take long to came across other  similar situations.
Enjoying  helping people, by providing affordable, spacious, clean and "living as a family" type of accommodation lead him in to Guest House type of rental business.

Happy Woods Minami Suna was opened September 2013.
We asked him about his favorite part of the Share House, he immediately answer the Dormitory Room - Its spacious with a high ceiling you feel really free in this room. Around the Happy Woods Minami Suna you can find many kind of stores,  such as "Nitori" and "Aeon" a huge supermarket where there is just everything you need. His favorite spot in the surrounding area would be the running track along the Arakawa River with the fresh air and lots of greenery. This is also famous for huge firework event held every year at Arakawa Sunamachi Mizube Park. 

To access  the house from Tokyo you need to use Tokyo Metro Tozai Line, perfect for Waseda University students. The line runs between Nakano Station in Nakano, Tokyo and Nishi-Funabashi Station in Funabashi, Chiba and it is currently the only subway line in Tokyo that has at least one direct connection to every other subway line (except the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line) and the first one to serve stations outside of the greater Tokyo properly.

The tenants at Happy Woods Minami Suna are mostly  students and employers, people with different kind of jobs, studies and interests makes the house very multicultural and interesting.
Whenever there is a new Tenant Christopher often organizes something to welcome him. Often he treats the tenants with  drinking party or with dinners.

One other attraction of the area is  the club Ageha -   The club one of the biggest in Asia, has a large main dance floor, chill out space, open terrace with pool, an outdoor dance tent. It is on the waterfront in eastern Tokyo's reclaimed industrial district. Capacity of over a thousand people with entry costs depend on the line-up.
You can easily reach the club within 20 minutes by bus or 5 minutes by taxi. How Cool Is That!

Wish to get out of Town for some winter sports? Snowboarding is one of Christopher's favorite hobby,  ask him for help! He might even join you along with other Tenants.

The living room is very spacious, perfect for watching TV, movies socialize or use the internet. Recently installed 2KB internet connection, Cable TV and PC at the living room would provide you enjoyable and relaxing time.

To move in the  Happy Woods Minami Suna you are required  to pay a deposit of 40,000  of which 10,000 yen would be used as the cleaning fee up on vacating and one month rent.  

" My job is not only renting rooms and organizing events.  I am always willing to help to sort out some of the tenants worries for instance problems with visa or job hunting. Because, at the end of the day we are like a family away from home. I am looking forward to meeting new tenants, you are always welcome!"
